Overview

啾酱笔记 is a Japanese vocabulary learning app. We take privacy seriously and have designed the app to collect as little data as possible.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

All data you enter in the app — vocabulary, readings, meanings, notes, and tags — is stored:

Locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework
In your personal iCloud account (if iCloud sync is enabled), via Apple’s CloudKit

We never have access to your data. It goes directly between your device and your own iCloud account.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your notes are stored in your private iCloud container. This data is:

Owned entirely by you
Governed by Apple’s iCloud Privacy Policy
Never accessible to us

You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings, or delete your iCloud data from:

Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage

The widget displays your review count, total notes, and streak. This data is read from your device’s local storage via a shared App Group and is never transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

啾酱笔记 uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting services. There are no SDKs embedded in the app that collect data.

Children’s Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Data Deletion

To delete all your data:

Delete all notes inside the app via Settings → Delete All Notes, or
Delete the app from your device — all local data is removed automatically
To remove iCloud data:

Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → 啾酱笔记 → Delete Data from iCloud

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the Last updated date above and note the change in the App Store release notes.
